1988 invited by the Institute Francais and the Goethe Institut to play concerts in Damascus and Amman with the German/French quartet encircling Louis Sclavis/Joe Krencker/Hiram Mutschler

1988 concert with the Joe Krencker Quartet featuring Birelli Lagrene at the Jazz Festival Mulhouse, broadcast live on Radio dÀlsace
